Milwood
Milwood is located off of Parmer and Mopac area. It is known for its larger lots and mature oak trees. The homes were built from the late 1970’s to the mid 1980’s . Milwood homes range in price from about $150,000 to $300,000 and vary in size from around 1000 to 2600 square feet. There are a total of about 1,200 homes in Milwood today. There are several different sections of Milwood, this one pertains to the section that feeds into Austin ISD.
Location: Milwood is located close to many employers like Samsung, IBM and Dell. It is also close to great shopping and restaurants at the Domain and the Arboretum.
Amenities in Milwood:
Residents enjoy the Balcones District Park
located off of Duval and Amherst. It offers basketball courts, hike-and-bike
trails, a play scape and Balcones Pool. Milwood also offers an active but
voluntary homeowner’s association. Membership is offered to all residents who
pay annual dues. The association organizes several groups aimed at improving
the community. The MNA (Milwood
Neighborhood Association) organizes many neighborhood-wide activities such as
the Fourth of July parade and picnic and annual neighborhood garage sales, just
to name a few.
The Milwood Austin Public Library is a nice amenity to the neighborhood and is located just off Amherst and Adelphi.
